Divorcee Wants More Despite Landing £337m In UK's Biggest Divorce Settlement Yet

A financier's wife has been awarded £337 million in what could be Britain’s biggest ever divorce settlement ,but her legal team says she may appeal for more. Sir Chris Hohn has been told to hand over the sum following the collapse of his 15-year marriage to Jamie Cooper-Hohn.Sir Chris’s representatives told the court they were anxious to ‘move on with things [but the] wife is not’.Sir Chris, who was born in Addlestone, Surrey, met his American wife, 49, when the pair studied at Harvard Business School.

She told an earlier hearing that she initially spurned his advances, but the pair later bonded over the film Malcolm X.

They married in Washington DC in 1995 and had four children – triplets, now aged 12, and an older child of 15.They split up in December 2012, with Mrs Cooper-Hohn divorcing Sir Chris in April 2013. More than 250,000 animals are being lined up for slaughter as Nepal embarks on a two-day religious festival where buffalo, birds and goats are sacrificed to appease a Hindu goddess.

According to dailymail, Millions of Hindus flock to the ceremony, which is held every five years at the temple of Gadhimai, the goddess of power, in Bariyarpur, Nepal, near the Indian border.

The last time the festival was held, in 2009, more than 250,000 animals were killed, according to animal rights organisation PETA, who is campaigning to put a stop to the practice.
The festival is 'kicked off' with the ritual slaughter of five thousand buffalo in a field near the temple, after which two days of ritual animal slaughter takes place.

A 35 year old robbery suspect got stuck in a hole as he tried to escape his cell from his cell in Oyo.The inmate, Femi Akanji was caught after burgling a shop on the 12th of November 2014..He narrated to the Tribune why he decided to escape..

"I decided to escape from the cell to avoid the trouble I had put myself into, unknown to me that I was complicating matter. After my two cell mates had slept, I started using my hands to dig the wall silently in the dead of the night. I started from a point where I noticed a crack in the cell.When some bricks fell, I further used them in digging and after I had created a hole, I pushed my head into it and tried to escape before dawn. The Lagos state Police command has rescued the current Miss Nigeria International 2014 & daughter of an aide to Kwara state Governor, Miss Sa'adat Bibire, who was abducted two weeks ago by a gang of kidnappers who deceived her to come to Warri, Delta state from Lagos after they promised to make her the ambassador of the Aliko Dangote brand.

account disguising as Aliko Dangote and contacted Sa'adat. They invited her to Warri with the promise to make her Dangote brand ambassador. On getting to Warri, Sa'adat was kidnapped and taken to a place on the outskirts of Ozoro town in Isoko Local Government Area in Delta state. The kidnappers then contacted her family and asked for N20m ransom, which was supposed to be paid into a Malaysian account.

Parading one of the suspects before newsmen, the Lagos state Police commissioner said a manhunt for the kidnappers was immediately launched after they contacted the girls family but only one of them was arrested while the others are currently on the run.

Lagos state Police command yesterday paraded a 25 year old musician named John Sunday pictured left, who says he took to armed robbery in order to gather N100,000 to promote his reggae album.

“I am a musician from Ikofepepe in Akwa Ibom State. We were three in the gang, but one is on the run. I needed money to launch my album, Tureke Reggae; that is why I went into robbery. I was targeting N100,000" John said when he was interrogated.

John Onyekachi Oshomi (pictured right) who claimed to be a bus conductor said he joined the gang because he needed to take care of his family. The two were was arrested on November 21st.

A 54 year old Chinese businessman Xiong Shuihua did something amazing for the community where he grew up in Xinyu, Southern China. He paid to bulldoze all the wooden huts in the area then spent millions replacing them with an estate of luxury flats for the residents.

A judge in a London High Court ruled that the American wife of a British Tycoon be given $530m in a divorce payout. This is considered to be the biggest divorce settlement so far in British history. The estranged wife of finance tycoon Christopher Hohn will receive an equivalent of N96 billion.

The judge awarded Jamie Cooper-Hohn $493 million in cash and the rest in the form of a property in Connecticut and adjustments to her share of a pension.

A full judgment will be published in December, but the figures were cited during a court hearing yesterday November 27.

She was initially seeking half of her ex-husband's assets, but he said she was entitled to just a quarter on the grounds that his talents as an investor constituted a special contribution to their wealth. He also referred to himself as an "unbelievable moneymaker.”

Ziona Chana has 39 wives, 94 children, 14 daughters-in-law and 33 grandchildren. They all live with him in his hotel-like 100-room, four-story house perched among the hills of Baktwang village in the Indian state of Mizoram.

One year, he married ten wives. Two of them sisters. His 39 wives say they are blessed to have him and take turns to share his bed.

Former Egyptian president, Hosni Mubarak has been cleared of charges of corruption and killing of hundreds of Egyptian protesters in a revolution that toppled him in 2011.

Mubarak ruled Egypt for 29 years. The 86-year-old Mubarak was convicted in 2012 of issuing orders to kill peaceful protesters during the country's 2011 uprising and was sentenced to life in prison. He appealed and was granted a new trial last year.

Also acquitted were Mubarak's former Interior Minister Habib el-Adly and six of el-Adly's aides, who'd been accused of being connected to the deaths of 239 protesters as security forces cracked down on them in 2011. Mubarak's two sons also were acquitted Saturday of corruption.

Mubarak still has a three-year sentence for a previous conviction for embezzlement, but it not clear when he'll be freed.

Prosecutors have the option of appealing the acquittal decision.

Meet The Prisoner Who Got 4 Female Guards Pregnant While In Jail For Attempted Murder

This dude got not one but four female prison officials pregnant while serving a 20 year jail sentence for attempted murder inside a Baltimore City Detention Centre.

Tavon White, known as 'Kingpin' ran a vast drugs smuggling business from inside the prison, CBS Baltimore reports. Prosecutors say he made $10,000 to $20,000 a week smuggling drugs and cell phones into the prison and befriended the female guards who helped to make his business easy. He rewarded them with sex and got 4 pregnant. Two of the women even tattooed his name on their body.

Five officers of the corrupt prison, Tavon & two other inmates are now facing charges of conspiracy, drug distribution and money laundering.

The traffic situation on Lagos Island this week has been atrocious. Out of necessity, I had reasons to be on the island everyday of the week. I had the most harrowing traffic experience on Tuesday. 28 Christians were killed yesterday morning Nov. 22nd after Islamic Shebab extremists ambushed a bus in Kenya as it headed for Nairobi from Mandera, a town close to Somalia.
According to reports, the heavily armed extremists separated the Muslims from the Christians by asking them to recite verses from the Qu'ran. Then they ordered the Muslims to get off the bus and then shot the Christians point blank in the head before escaping back to Somalia.
A Spokesman for Shebab later said the 28 travelers were killed in retaliation for a raid on mosques in Mombasa, Kenya last week.

T.B Joshua Threathened With Arrest After Failing To Appear In Court For 2nd time

For the second time, TB Joshua failed to show up in court after being summoned by the coroner, to testify regarding the synagogue building collapse which killed 116.The coroner Oyetade Komolafe,has threatened to order his arrest after failing to show up on November 5 and 19.He said

“We don’t want the impression to be created that The Prophet is avoiding the court,Any of the witnesses who is not in court today will be arrested. I think the court has been lenient enough.”

However,Joshua's lawyer,Olalekan Ojo, told reporters after the hearing:

“We have gone to the high court to challenge the jurisdiction of the coroner to issue a witness summons.The coroner has unconsciously exceeded his jurisdiction in that he has started inquiring into matters that are not causative of deaths.The Prophet has respect for the law of the land and will not do anything that will hurt the law,If at the end of the day, it is appropriate for The Prophet to appear he will be in court. We do not intend to abuse the legal process.Besides, The Prophet has a milk of human kindness. He is still grieving over the horrendous loss of lives. Coming to court is not proper. It is not a good way of showing respect for the dead.”

"Most times, when I grant interviews to blogs, the subject is always twisted out of context. Most of those commenting on those blogs would say that I am gay. Maybe, it is because of the roles I have played in some movies. "They should understand that I am only acting and the roles have nothing to do with my personality. I get embarrassed when people mistake the part I play in a movie for reality and call me a gay. And to think that I have always said that I am not gay! It really hurts...
