Two Senegalese Young Boys Beaten In NYC School After Being Called 'EBOLA'

The stigmatization of Africans living in America since the out break of Ebola in the US has taken another dimension after two young schoolboys were attacked and beaten by their school mates who called them Ebola.

According to the African advisory Council in the Bronx, two brothers - 11 and 13-years-old who recently returned to the US from Senegal were on Friday afternoon, after two weeks of enduring taunts and bullying, were beaten and severely injured in their schoolyard during lunch break by many of their schoolmates who called them "Ebola."....   continue for more pictures....

They were born in American but grew up in Senegal and have only been in the U.S for about a month when the attack happened. They were taken to the hospital for treatment following the mindless attack.

Their father, Ousame Drame, said some students, whispering the word, "Ebola," told other students not to talk to his sons, adding that they were treated like cancers.

"If they go to the gym they don't want them touching the ball - 'Oh, you have Ebola, don't play with us,'" Drame said during a press conference which was called yesterday October 27th to address the issue by the African advocacy group.
