Oo Yes, a new stadium has been made in our country Nigeria. And the state in which this edifice is situated is in Akwa Ibom. The new Akwa Ibom International Stadium nicknamed the Nest of Champions was opened on the 7th of November, 2014 by the Governor of the state, Godwin Akpabio
Well, my concern is about maintaining this new stadium when you and i know that the maintaining mentality of Nigeria is zero. Yes, zero!! Have you seen the other stadia in the country? The Lekan Salami in Ibadan, the National stadium both in Lagos and Abuja among others? The stadia are all in bad state. Irons and steel all rusting, flood lights not working, wild animals are new tenants to this buildings, miscreants and thieves are the order of the day in such arena now. All this building are government run and nothing at all is being done to revive the souls of this edifices. And now they have built a new stadium in Uyo...smh

This new gargantuan structure boasts 4 -tier, covered, seating terrace, all-natural grass, high-tech floodlights and security cameras, 36 emergency exits, bullet proof VVIP and VIP along with other ultra-modern facilities.
Well, am damn sure this new structure will soon join the league of other stadia being abandoned around the nation of Nigeria.
