Ghanaians have taken to mocking President Goodluck Jonathan and his ruling party, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for erecting huge billboards in many strategic positions in Accra, the capital of the West African country, something they think is out of place.

According to a website in that country, many of its citizens believe erecting such bill boards, pasting posters of the president on their streets as well as carrying out a massive radio and television campaign, is uncalled for and smirks of misplaced priority.

But there are those who believe that there is nothing wrong in the president campaigning in their country since there are many Nigerians living and working there and they need to know what is going on in their country, though they do not see the impact thecampaign will have since Nigeria has not gotten to the state of online voting.

The site quoted from some Ghanaians on the posters:

"I do not think the Nigerian president is on the right track. Why would he and his party carry out this massive campaign in Ghana when we all know that their country do not vote online? It is misplaced, if you ask me."

The son of a man of God is supposed to live by the example set by his parent but not for Delvin Barnes, the son of a Virginia, USA, preacher, who decided to veer from the Way and took to a life of stealing, kidnapping and serial raping, and has a criminal rap that is as long as an arm.

The 37-year-old Barnes, has been arrested and charged in two states for kidnapping and raping women and was extradited to Virginia on Thursday, where he is wanted for abducting a 16-year-old girl.

According to New York Daily News, the teenager managed to escape and told police that Barnes removed her clothes and raped her. He then dug a grave and asked the teen how she wanted to die.

Barnes poured bleach and gasoline on the girl and her clothes. While he was busy burning her clothes the girl ran for her life.

(Photos) Demonic Fish With Over 300 Teeth Caught By Fisher Men

A group of fishermen were amazed when they pulled a terrifying prehistoric shark from the water near Lakes Entrance in Victoria's east. The dark brown, eel-like looking creature is a frilled shark, also known as the 'living fossil', and was named for its six pairs of frill-like gills along with its dorsal fins, similar to the predatory fish.

The shark's origin dates back 80 million years and is only one of two species still alive from this period. The frilled shark was pulled from the water near Lakes Entrance, Victoria. It was up to two metres long and caught at 700 metres below sea level. 

The rarely-sighted frilled shark is described by some media outlets as "hideous."

The fish has 300 teeth over 25 rows, which allows it to swallow its prey whole. The species is more likely to be found in cool, temperate waters and seems to avoid warm water, said Mark Meekan, shark biologist at the Australian Institute of Marine Science.

INSANITY- RCCG Member Cuts Off His Penis In Order To Concentrate On His 21 Days Fasting And Prayer

A 27 -year-old man who acclaimed to be a member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God had reportedly cut off his penis from his body with a machete in order to concentrate in the ongoing 21 days fasting and prayer programme organized by the church. 
The unidentified man who ardently believes that fasting and prayers should be embarked upon with piousness decided to obey the instruction of the Bible that enjoined people to cut off any part of their bodies that will lead them into sin.

According to reports, on Sunday, January 18, 2015 the man was said to be doing great without food and water but revealed that his manhood was obstructing him from getting more devout to God with its little erections on daily basis.

He said,

 “The penis has a mind of its own and it is capable of doing things which are totally out of my control. It usually gets erect every now and then, and konji sets in. And you know that konji is one of the things that leads people into sin. The erections were making me weaker spiritually and in the fast. That is why I cut it off. Even Jesus Christ said that we should cut off anything which will make us sin.”

His neighbors attacked him thinking he was attempting to perform a ritual until he was able to explain to them what he was doing.

He is currently in one of the hospital in Lagos responding to treatment and hoping that his penis will grow back on his body after the 21 days of fasting and prayers.

Nassarawa Gov's Campaign Manager's Pregnant Daugher Killed

Seven month pregnant daughter of Nassarawa state governor's campaign manager, Musa Illu, Amina Suleiman was on Monday Jan. 19th killed by unknown assailants at her husband's home in Katsina. 

According to reports, Amina, whose husband was away to Zaria for his doctorate degree programme was found in the pool of her blood with her throat slit and a knife in her stomach. Younger brother to the campaign manager, Namairo Babai, while confirming the incident said her husband had tried to reach her on phone on the day of the attack but when he couldn't, he sent somebody to check on his wife only to be told she'd been killed.

At that time, the Average Life Expectancy in Nigeria was 47 years. Five years down the line, working together, we have succeeded in increasing Nigeria's Average Life Expectancy to 54 years as at today and climbing.

And the government I head will not rest on its oars in improving all our health indices to make sure that Nigerians not only live longer lives, but that we live better quality lives.

And unity is our tool in this regard. The type of unity with which Nigeria defeated the Ebola Virus Disease will be harnessed for use in tackling the challenges in our health sector. Already, we are equipping and upgrading facilities in our teaching hospitals and many are carrying out surgeries they never could, because of equipment.

Only last year, the United Nations certified Nigeria Guinea Worm free. I am reliably informed that not before long, we will also be certified free of the Wild Polio Virus.

Guardian Beats Up 15 Year Old For Sending Daughter On An Errand

A 15-year-old girl, Oluebube Amadi, has refused to report her guardian, Mrs. Ebere Ugochukwu, to the police for allegedly assaulting her.

Amadi, a primary six pupil, lives with the woman on Muhammed Akinje Street, Ejigbo, Lagos State.
It was learnt that a Good Samaritan who met her while she was writhing in pain on the street advised the victim to report the assault to the police. But she turned down the idea for fear of being punished again by the guardian.

Punch Metro learnt that Amadi had told the Good Samaritan, identified simply as Rukayat, that she was, on January 11, spanked by Ugochukwu for sending one of her daughters on an errand.

The victim had reportedly added that the woman applied pepper on her injuries after the flogging.

However, Ugochukwu told our correspondent that she spanked the victim for allegedly masturbating. She also justified the assault on the ground that Amadi had a habit of stealing.

Ugochukwu said,

 “She touches her private parts with her fingers and she has started doing same to my daughters. I was really annoyed. When I asked her where she learnt it, she said she used to do it in the village. The beating I gave her was the highest since she has been living with me. I tied her hands and legs. Besides, she is used to stealing. She steals my money and items from school.

Malian Muslim Employee Who Saved Lives During Paris Attack Granted French Citizenship

The Muslim kosher supermarket employee who saved several shoppers lives during the Paris attack has been granted French citizenship.Lassana Bathily, 24, was praised for his 'courage and heroism' by Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve during a ceremony in the presence of Prime Minister Manuel Valls.Mr Cazeneuve said Mali-born Bathily's 'act of humanity has become a symbol of an Islam of peace and tolerance.'

Mr Bathily was in the store's underground stockroom when gunman Amedy Coulibaly burst in to the Hyper Cacher supermarket in Porte de Vincennes, Paris, on January 9 and killed four people.
The 24-year-old guided terrified customers to safety in a supermarket chiller and has since been praised around the world for his quick-thinking and bravery.


Mr Bathily, who reportedly led six people to safety, told BFMTV:

 'When they ran down, I opened the door [of the freezer].
'There are several people who came to me. I turned off the light, I turned off the freezer.
'When I turned off the cold, I put them [hostages] in, I closed the door, I told them to stay calm.'
